Alpha 1.2.0 arrives bringing new features, check it out!

It is finally here and came with some really awaited features by many players since the very beginning of the project! This update brings to you the collaborative games editing, improvements in multiplayer, changes on the creation system, a brand new support grid, design improvements that covers many parts of the platform, a lot of changes related to games on the website, the collaboration and the store, and many bugs corrections.

Collaborative Editing (AKA Multiplayer Edit Mode)

Creating maps all alone is something really relaxing for some, but to others it is quite a boring thing when you have to do everything all by yourself. During this update, we finally added the support for game creation with friends and collaborators, and we hope that it will make the games editor a lot more fun with them.

You can add collaborators to the map, attribute a role for them, and finally they are already able to get into your map for editing or just to observe it. The ability of adding comments in maps is not in the game yet, but this role is already available.

When your friend joins the game, you can also execute some new commands like: Go to Player, Bring Player, Kick Player. These commands were added to proportionate a way more easier locomotion between players, and also increase the safety when creating a map.

New Context Menus

The left button of the mouse now selects the map objects and exposes its properties and actions at a superior bar on top. This makes really more easier the way of editing objects without the presence of many sub-menus that are dedicated for every single thing.

Victory Flags

Now, you can add victory flags to your map to define the end of a route. When a flag does exist in a map, there is also a timer which is displayed for the player after the first movement he makes.

This flag is not supposed to define the end of the match, but actually the end of map or route, so if are there many players completing the map, none of them will be affected with an abrupt reset that will mess up all of their progress.

We got a lot more plans for this flag in the future. Stay tuned!

Actors

You can now add your own avatars to the maps. They will look like actual players, except by the fact that they are NPCs only. They still don't take damage nor feature any interaction, but you can use them as elements of storytelling.

We have such a lot of plans for them.

They may look like players, but they're actually not!

Lots of New Sounds

Many new sound effects were added for movement and natural elements of the game.

PvP Improvements

We improved some stability related issues on PvP, like ammunition that was actually eaten by the server and the ammo counter displaying wrong numbers.

Invisible Blocks Correction

There were an issue related to building that used to make adjacent blocks faces invisible when in different chunks. This behavior is now fixed.

New Chat Design

The chat had a complete revamp on its design to get a better viewing of messages and who is actually chatting.

New Design of Settings Menu, Loading Screen and Health Bar

The game menu has been changed to be way more simple and neutral in relation to games. We're still going to change many more things in the game that makes part of the platform instead of the game for reflecting during this philosophy.

The loading screen was also changed... again! This time, we made it more neutral and featuring the map screenshot in the background, instead of a view from the map loading along its chunks that was something quite unpredictable.

Player's health bar is now a lot more dynamic and has some animations according to his vital status.

Improvements on Multiplayer and Movement

You may probably came across with some problem of movement on earlier versions, that used to cause tilts when interacting with blocks that had behaviors like bouncy or walljump. On this version, we rewrote the whole movement system for correcting these issues. However, like any other rewritten, some new behaviors can possibly derive from the older ones, so, although we have been trying to keep the behaviors still compatible, it is interesting to retest your maps along jumps that are way more precise.

We also took advantage to correct issues related to camera stutter when touching walls, and adjusted some characters animations to make them really fun and cool to see.

That's what i mean with bone-shaking!

New Support Grid

The game's grid got a rewrite, that tool which is used for putting blocks on air and drawing huge areas without the needing of placing it block by block. On earlier versions, its behavior was bordering on unusable because of many accumulated bugs from updates that actually changed the building system.

During this update, it is not only possible for using it in such a delightful way, but it also can have more than one axis at the same time.

Did you hear that? Three axis at the same time!

New Design of Texture Creator

The texture creator editing menu was redesigned to be more intuitive and easier to understand. The previous version was kinda confusing displaying so many tabs, so we decided to adjust its workflow and decrease the hidden parts behind menus as much as it could. The preview also got improved.

More things in your sight, less hidden tabs

New Avatar Editor Design

We remade the avatar editor background to turn it darker and provide more focus to the avatar. It is now much more aligned with the platform's style and doesn't features a blue color that hurts your eyes anymore. Now your avatar printscreens will certainly be more fashionable 😎

Website Changes

We also added and adjusted many more things in the website, check it out:

Information Edition of Avatars and Maps

Avatars and maps now make use of an unified editor of their informations. Avatars can now afford to have their names updated by their owners, as well as the maps.

Improvements on Tag Editing from Store

When editing tags, it is possible to preview the final list. We also added the option of editing the tag category, which was not possible previously, needing a manual adjust made by Staff.

New Settings Menu

Our settings menu got some severe changes on this version. Now, instead of a fullscreen menu, it will appears as a floating window.

Configure your profile wherever you are

Update for Many Components and Theme Colors

We revamped and correct many website components and also added support for theme colors. You may notice that many buttons that were once blue are now orange.

This change opens up space for custom themes in the future :D

Corrections and General Changes

There were so many changes that we couldn't remember everything anymore. But you will come across with them at some point.
